If you prefer a simpler approach, you can also choose a birthday portrait photoshoot with a clean and timeless setup, capturing your child’s personality without the cake. I also offer a wooden play cake option for parents who love the birthday theme but would rather keep things mess-free.

Whether you’re joining me for a birthday photoshoot or cake smash session for your growing child—every session is designed to be calm, playful, and full of genuine moments.
These sessions are always child-led, meaning we go at your little one’s pace. There’s no pressure to sit still or smile on cue—we keep things relaxed and fun so their personality can shine through naturally. Expect lots of playing, giggles, exploring, and cuddles!
We’ll start with some simple milestone portraits—whether your little one is sitting confidently, crawling, or running around the studio! before bringing out the cake for the messy, joyful fun.
The studio is based within my home in Manvers, Rotherham, and is designed to feel welcoming and homely—perfect for helping little ones (and grown-ups!) feel comfortable from the moment you walk in.

DO WE NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?
There’s no need to worry about bringing too much with you. I provide a selection of simple toys, as well as some adorable little outfits for your baby to wear during the session. If you have a special outfit you’d like them to be photographed in, feel free to bring that along too.
Please note that I don’t supply the cake for cake smash sessions due to allergy considerations, so you’ll need to bring one with you on the day. Simple, soft cakes with buttercream work best for those messy, joyful moments!

HOW LONG DOES THE SHOOT TAKE?
Your birthday photoshoot typically lasts up to around 1 hour. This gives us plenty of time to capture a variety of beautiful images without overwhelming your little one.
The session is always baby/child-led, allowing time for outfit changes, little breaks, cuddles, or simply a moment to settle if needed.
Whether you’re choosing a cake smash or a simple birthday portrait session with no cake involved, we move at your baby’s pace to keep the experience calm, enjoyable, and stress-free 🤍
