It’s best to book your session during pregnancy, usually after your 20-week scan, to secure availability.
I’ll pencil in your due date, and once your baby arrives, we arrange a time that works for you.
Sessions are typically held within the first 2–3 weeks, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curled.
However, lifestyle sessions are more flexible — meaning beautiful images can still be captured if your baby is a little older.

How long should I allow for an in-home newborn session, and do I need to prepare anything?
In-home newborn sessions are designed to feel calm, flexible, and completely baby-led.
I recommend allowing at least a minimum of one hour, but there’s no strict time limit — everything moves at your baby’s pace, with time for feeding, settling, cuddles, and simply pausing whenever needed.
Nothing is rushed, and there’s no pressure to stick to a schedule.
There’s also no need to worry about having a perfectly styled home.
I work with natural light and simple spaces, using areas that feel calm and uncluttered.
Just have your usual baby essentials to hand, and I’ll gently guide you throughout the session — keeping everything relaxed, natural, and easy.
