When is the best time for milestone photography?
The best time for an older baby photography session is between 4 and 10 months. This is one of the most exciting stages of your baby's first year, as they begin to develop their own unique personality and reach so many wonderful milestones.
From around 4 months, babies become more alert, expressive, and engaged with the world around them. As they grow, you'll see beautiful smiles, giggles, tummy time, rolling, grabbing their toes, and, for many babies, sitting confidently on their own.
Every month brings something new to celebrate.
If your baby can sit independently (usually between 6 and 9 months), this is often considered the ideal time for a milestone session, as it allows for a wonderful variety of natural poses and expressions without the distraction of crawling or walking away!
Every baby develops at their own pace, so sessions are always tailored to your little one. Whether your baby is 4 months old and discovering the world around them or 10 months old and full of curiosity, the focus is on capturing their unique personality and preserving this fleeting chapter before they move on to the next stage of childhood.
