NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY IN SHEFFIELD

🌿 Newborn Photographer in Sheffield

Welcome — and congratulations on your new arrival 🤍

If you’re looking for a newborn photographer in Sheffield who truly understands those early weeks of motherhood, you’re in the right place.

The newborn stage is quiet and overwhelming in equal measure. You’re exhausted in a way you’ve never known, yet completely in awe. Your days revolve around feeds, naps, and tiny routines — and somehow, time still moves too fast. One moment they fit perfectly into the crook of your arm, and the next you’re already noticing how much they’ve changed.

My newborn photography sessions near Sheffield are designed to honour this moment. While you soak them in — their warmth, their scent, the way they curl into you — I make sure the feeling of these days is never lost.

A Calm, Baby-Led Newborn Photography Experience

My peaceful studio, just a short drive from Sheffield, is designed with new families in mind. Soft light. Neutral tones. A calm atmosphere where nothing feels rushed and your baby is always the priority.

And if the thought of leaving home feels overwhelming, I see you. I also offer in-home lifestyle newborn photography for Sheffield families, allowing you to stay in your safe space while we capture the beauty of your everyday life together.

Every newborn photoshoot is led entirely by your baby. We move slowly. We pause often. We follow their needs — always — so you can relax and simply be present.

Timeless Newborn & Family Photography

My approach to newborn photography near Sheffield is natural and emotive. A balance of gentle posing and real, unguarded moments — your baby asleep on your chest, their fingers wrapped around yours, the quiet bond between you all.

Family involvement is always encouraged, whether that’s siblings leaning in close or parents holding their baby exactly as they do at home. These moments are fleeting — and they deserve to be remembered.

These images will take you back.
Back to the tiredness.
Back to the love.
Back to the very beginning.

If you’re searching for newborn photography in Sheffield that feels real, soft, and full of heart, I’ll take care of the remembering — while you stay right here in the moment.

WHEN IS BEST TO BOOK OUR NEWBORN SESSION?

It’s best to book your newborn photography session after your 20-week scan. When you book, I’ll pencil in your due date in my diary. Then, once your baby has arrived, simply send me a message and we’ll arrange the perfect date for your photoshoot.

The ideal time to photograph your newborn is within the first 3 weeks after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curled up—just like they were before they arrived. These early days are perfect for capturing those precious, tiny details and peaceful poses.

That said, if your baby is a little older, please don’t worry—it’s never too late to get beautiful photos. While older newborns might be more alert and a little less curled up, we can still capture gorgeous images of them awake, stretching, and maybe even sharing a cheeky little smile or two!

Because babies rarely arrive exactly on schedule, I only take a limited number of newborn bookings each week to allow for flexibility. This way, I can make sure I’m available whether your little one comes early or decides to keep you waiting a bit longer!

HOW LONG WILL THE SESSION TAKE?

Every baby is beautifully unique—some will snooze peacefully throughout the session, while others may need a few extra feeds, cuddles, and settling time. I recommend allowing up to 3 hours for your newborn photoshoot so we have plenty of time to keep things calm, relaxed, and completely baby-led.

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO BRING?

I know it can feel a little overwhelming getting out of the house with a new baby, especially in those early days. For your newborn photoshoot, just bring your usual baby bag, along with extra feeds if you’re bottle feeding and a dummy if your baby uses one. Nappies, wipes, and a warm blanket are always handy to keep baby comfortable. I recommend dressing your baby in something easy to remove and changing them into their outfit once you arrive—I also have a lovely selection of newborn outfits available for you to use.

For parent and sibling images, soft neutral tones like white, cream, or beige work beautifully to keep the focus on your connection with baby. And don’t worry if you forget something—I have plenty of essentials at the studio. Most importantly, come relaxed—we’ll take everything at baby’s pace.
